AAHh the roses are blooming again and now I know why I spend all that time all year caring for them!

Easter and the Roses

Well Easter has come and gone. The roses are in bloom, the rescue has sent out invitations for all to come and visit. Not many have. Those that have went home with armloads of roses, and had a great time, there is still time to make arrangements to visit both the garden and the wolves. Happy Easter!

April Fools

Today was beautiful. The garden is getting into full swing. The first roses are opening up, usually Rio Samba and Gingersnap. The peach tree has peaches on it, the others (peaches and nectarines) are in flower and apples and pears are starting to come also. The lavender is huge. The artichoke adds a wonderful silvery texture to the garden. I've added pictures to the rose photo album, and created a new garden album that has so many of the other plants that add beauty to the desert and bring birds and wildlife to an otherwise barren area. PLease enjoy.

Spring has finally arrived! The desert has finally recieved rain after 143 days without it! It was cold out yesterday, but by the weekend it shoud be into the mid 80's! Summer will be here in no time. And it will be back to drought conditions. The rose garden is getting ready to bloom and in the next couple of weeks, there should be a huge flush of roses. Where Wolves Rescue will be giving tours of the rose garden, free roses, and posting the pictures of this years roses as soon as they start coming out. Please enjoy.
