    Two months afterthe first cleaning

It is now 2 months later. The water has been running every 6 hours just to keep it moving in hopes that the huge build up of mud we saw in October (two months after the filtration system was installed). So far I think the idea is working but I am also concerned about the expense of running the water that often. Being that we are in a HUGE drought, I need to run the water anyhow, but if it does rain I will still have to keep the water flowing, no break. The electric company should love that and the pump company too.

    Slowsand Filter Gets 1st Cleaning

On the 16th of november the Slowsand filter had to be cleaned already. An airlock had developped and virtually no water was being forced through the membranes. 4 inches of sand had to be removed from the slowsand tank before clean sand was reached! It was the DIRTIEST well they had EVER seen!!! Clay had settled on top of the sand preventing the water from going through the sand and the sand from breathing creating the airlock. A 100 gallon holding tank was added in the series after the slowsand and before the pump and the nano filter and RO membranes. This was to avoid any future airlock problems. The membranes were also cleaned, and were full of dirt! Now the system is back up and running like new.

    NIGI MINI WICONI

The well has a new name:
NIGI MINI WICONI or Life Giving Spirit.
    Well is All.

The Water is Even Cleaner than Before.

I checked the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) today, from water coming out of the kitchen tap, and they are down to 127-130 PPM (Parts Per Million). All is well.

The Water is Getting Even Cleaner!

Well after I put the biologicals in the Slowsand tank about 3 weeks ago now, the water got even cleaner, down to about 175-178 PPM of TDS. Today I checked the TDS again and it has improved even more! The TDS was down to 159-160 PPM. The water in the slowsand tank (which comes directly out of the well) was at 465 PPM of TDS.

    Clean Water at Last!

Well, Dr. Cluff came out with his worker last week and installed the new Slowsand filtration system we had been talking about. He put in an R/O membrane to show me how clean the water could get, there were only 7 Parts Per Million (PPM) of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). The good Dr. said that this would be far too low for my pipes (1935) and so he replaced the R/O membrane with yet another membrane that produces clean water with about 175 PPM of TDS. This gives nice clean and soft water. Frankly I am amazed. I had not realized how much We had all been going through from this dirty, salty, mineral encrusted, water. The dogs kidneys suffered. Everything was dingy and dirty. Besides the daily cleaning of the misters and the coolers and the filters, I had really forgotten that whites could ever truly be white, the elbow grease that I put out and the extra work that they put me through because of their fouled water was phenomenal.

I can once again see the bottom of the 2000 gallon holding tank when it is full of water! I forgot what being clean was like after all this time! Clean Water Products and Slowsand Filtration really works. Photos will be forth coming, more notes on the process, and how quickly the water cleaned up too, later. There are lots of things that three summers without clean water have caused to build up and lots of catching up to do. I have to say though I have the cleanest water in the neighborhood!

Adding the New Filtration System from Clean Water Products

Tomorrow proffessor Cluff is supposed to come out and start installling the new slowsand and reverse osmosis filtration system. I am very excited that we should be having clean water VERY SOON! I have to thank Attorney John Riggs for helping me get this far. I am tired of changing filters everyday, and swapping coolers, poking at misters, and cleaning mud and mineral deposits out of everything. An end is finally in sight.

Clean Water from Mr. Brent C Cluff, Phd.

Yesterday Mr. Cluff (former hydrology  proffessor at University of Arizona) came out to see the problem I was having with my water and the filtration they have attempted to use but that has failed. He was very knowledgable, had already worked with a study in Tucson with Central Arizona Project, and for 7000$ we can have fresh pure clean water.  So can you! Even if you live on a house boat and want to use the water from the ocean!!! This is incredible and it is "The Wave of the Future" in clean water products and resources! Prices vary and depend on the volume of water cleaned on a daily usage basis. I go through as much as 6000 gallons a day. Many household systems are smaller than this and will cost quite a bit less.
